What AlignPoll keeps about events, answers and accounts, why it needs it, who else handles it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
AlignPoll is an independent product under Mobayilo. In this policy, “we” means the AlignPoll team. Write to contact@mobayilo.com with any question about your information.
What we collect
- Events: the title, description and timezone, the proposed dates and times, the joining details (format, host name, meeting link or location) and the confirmed choice.
- Answers: each participant's display name, Yes, Maybe or No answers and optional comment. Participants never give an email address.
- Private links: only one-way hashes of private organiser and edit links, never the links themselves.
- Accounts, if you create one: your email address, your sign-in sessions and the events saved to your account. Sign-in links, codes and session tokens are stored only as one-way hashes.
- Business events: the company name and logo you add. A logo is re-encoded, so the stored file holds no text or camera data.
- Payments: purchase records with their Stripe Checkout session and payment event identifiers, amount, currency, status and any refund. You enter card details on Stripe; they never reach AlignPoll.
- Larger-poll requests: the email address you give when asking about more than 15 dates, and whether our email was accepted for delivery.
- Abuse protection: counts of recent new events, responses and sign-in emails per network address, held in memory or stored against a one-way hash of the address.
How we use it
We use this information to run AlignPoll: to show events to the people who hold their links, record and total answers, sign you in, keep your saved events, take Business payments and show Business branding, answer your requests, protect the service from abuse and fix what breaks.
We do not sell your information. AlignPoll shows no advertising and uses no analytics.
Who can see an event
Anyone with an event's share link can see the event, its options and the names, answers and comments of everyone who responded. Share it only with the people you are planning with.
Anyone holding the private organiser link can manage the event, and anyone holding a private edit link can change that response. A Business event's company name and logo are shown to anyone with its share link.
When you add a host name, a location or details about other people, make sure they are happy for everyone with the link to see them.
Services we rely on
Each of these services receives only what its task needs:
- Cloudflare runs the AlignPoll application and its database and carries its traffic.
- ZeptoMail delivers sign-in emails and larger-poll request emails, with open and click tracking turned off.
- Stripe processes Business payments on its own checkout page, under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Events, answers, accounts and saved events are kept so that their links keep working; they are not deleted automatically after a set time. Sign-in links and codes expire after 10 minutes and sessions after 30 days.
Payment and refund records are kept as needed for accounting, security and legal reasons. Larger-poll requests are reviewed and removed when they are no longer needed.
Removing is not deleting
Remove from my account takes an event off My events. It deletes only the link between the event and your account: the event, everyone's answers and its private links keep working. Signing out leaves your events untouched too.
AlignPoll has no button that deletes an event, its answers or an account. To ask for deletion, write to contact@mobayilo.com and tell us what you want deleted. This includes branding kept on a refunded Business event.
Security
Connections are encrypted, private links and sign-in codes are stored only as one-way hashes, and every form is protected against forgery. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at contact@mobayilo.com if you find a problem.
Your choices and rights
Write to contact@mobayilo.com to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it or to delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, and to complain to your data protection authority.
